A small scale, family-owned distillery that has an excellent reputation for doing the right thing.
Hartshorn Distillery is named after the family that owns and runs the operation. It originally began as a way to avoid waste. The distillery is attached to the Grandvewe Sheep Cheesery, with whey one of the byproducts of cheesemaking. Ordinarily, whey is just poured down the drain, but Ryan Hartshorn had other ideas, deciding to use it as the base for his vodkas and gins.
The result is delicious spirits that avoid waste, and possess a distinctive creamy quality. This gin is a perfect example of everything the distillery does so well!

A lightly creamy, yoghurt-like aroma is brightened by fragrances of pine-forest juniper, bittersweet berries and subtle rosewater. A grounding spiced citrus rind note supplies nose-tingling warmth and complexity.
Remarkably full bodied, with a creamy and soft mouthfeel. Underpinned by a core of fresh juniper, with a light nutty quality, rose petals and brightening lemon rind. Towards the finish, there’s a peppery, spiced-berry note.
